POLICE SEARCH UNCOVERS DRUGS AND CASH IN TWEED HEADS

Charges have been laid against a 39-year-old man, after a roadside stop allegedly located cash and illicit drugs near Tweed Heads.

Around 4pm on Friday afternoon, police stopped a Toyota Hi-Ace on Minjungbal Drive at Tweeds Heads South, where its alleged they seized over $9000 in cash, as well as illicit drugs.

The driver was taken to Tweed Heads Police Station and charged with multiple offences including 2 counts of supplying a prohibited drug.

He was granted conditional bail, and will appear in Tweed Heads Local Court on Monday.
