WALLARAH 2 DECISION PUSHED BACK

The Federal Minister for Environment and Energy has confirmed he will push back the date of his decision on the Wallarah 2 coal-mine project.

Josh Frydenberg previously had until March 7 to veto the mine’s approval, instead choosing to delay the verdict by six months.

His decision comes after a sit-down meeting with activists from the Australian Coal Alliance on Monday.

The organisation and other activists will continue their fight to prevent the mine from going ahead.
