MULTI-DISABILITY BOWLS COMP DRAWS COMPETITORS FROM ACROSS THE STATE

Close to 30 competitors from across the state took part in day one of the multi-disability lawn bowls competition at Raymond Terrace today.

The stakes are high, with state selectors picking a team for the national championships held in Western Australia in May.

Park Beach bowler Doug Lambert, among those out to seal a spot.

“I think I’ve got second in the sections today so hopefully I’ve got enough points under my belt to do the semi’s tomorrow,” he said.

Mayfield local and Australian silver medalist Michelle Campbell is also hoping to make the titles, for the second year in a row.
