ILLICIT DRUGS FOUND DURING ROADSIDE POLICE SEARCH

A 24-year-old man has been charged, after allegedly being found with illicit drugs in his possession, during a roadside police search in Newcastle.

The Mount Druitt man was stopped on Main Road at Jesmond, where a search of his vehicle allegedly
found illicit drugs as well as $13,000 in cash.

A quad bike also being transported in the Holden utility, was seized by police.

He was taken to Waratah Police Station where he was charged with two counts of goods in personal custody.
