BIG CASH SERVING FOR EAT THE STREET

Lismore food lovers are rejoicing with the announcement the town’s signature food festival will be bigger and better in 2018.

Eat the Street organisers say $20,000 in State Government funding will go a long way to drawing crowds to the March event.

“What it does for us is allows us to actually tackle the South East Queensland market with this money and that’s a market that’s very expensive to get into, so the $20,000 will go an enormous way”

“Each year that it has run it’s been an outstanding success, and hopefully with these added funds, it will even increase the patronage and support for this wonderful event”

In just three years the event has managed to attract 21,000 patrons – a number expected to grow by a further 10 percent.
