FAST FOOD WORKER ASSAULTED, ROBBED ON THE GOLD COAST

Police are appealing for information after the employee of a fast-food restaurant on the Gold Coast was assaulted and robbed overnight.

Just before 8:30pm last night, the employee of a fast food store at a shopping centre in Biggera Waters observed a man acting suspiciously on the roof of the premises.

After calling for the man to come down, the intruder and two other males confronted the employee, demanding his personal property.

When the staff member refused, one of the men produced a knife, and he was then punched to the ground and assaulted by the group.

The men stole the employee’s phone before fleeing.

The 32-year-old victim was taken to hospital for treatment to facial injuries.
