DRUGS AND PROHIBITED WEAPON SEIZED IN TWEED HEADS SOUTH UNIT

Two men have been charged with drug offences in Tweed Heads South after a raid on a William Street unit yesterday.

Just before 9am on Wednesday police seized what is believed to be the drugs ‘ice,’ ‘ecstasy’ and cannabis, as well as cash and a prohibited weapon.

Two men were arrested and charged with a string of supply and possession offences.

A 54-year-old man was granted bail and will appear before Tweed Heads Local Court in March.

A 24-year-old man was refused bail, due to face Byron Bay Local Court today.
