LOCAL SCHOOL MAINTENANCE BACKLOGS HALVED
A school holiday blitz has cut local public schools’ planned maintenance in half.
Roofing, flooring and painting just some of the work undertaken over the school break.
High schools across the Tamworth electorate alone have seen planned maintenance slashed by more than $2.5-million, and primary schools almost $1.2-million.
While on the Northern Tablelands, around $7.29-million has been spent halving the maintenance backlogs.
