13-YEAR-OLD CHARGED WITH JAMES STREET HOUSE FIRE, MOREE

A 13-year-old has been charged in relation to a house fire in Moree on James Street last December.

It follows a three-day arson operation by Barwon Police, after more than 200 fires were attended to over the past two months.

The youth was charged with damaging property and was granted strict conditional bail.

They’ll face Moree Children’s Court in March.

Police say they’re expecting to make more arrests in the coming days.
