It’s been a horror 24 hours on New South Wales roads, with several people killed in separate accidents… including a 22-year-old man who was struck by a bus on the mid north coast.
Emergency services were called to the scene on the Old Pacific Highway, south of Nambucca, just before midday.
The pedestrian was treated by paramedics but died at the scene.
“As he’s crossed the road he’s stepped into the path of a bus that was travelling south towards Macksville from Nambucca. We believe there were passengers onboard at the time that the collision happened.”
The bus driver was treated for shock, and taken to Macksville Hospital for mandatory testing.
