A man will face court next month, after a teenage girl was struck and killed by a car at Port Stephens yesterday.

The 17-year-old was hit by a Toyota Prado on Warrigal Close in Brandy Hill, at around 7:30am.

Paramedics treated her at the scene, but she sadly couldn’t be saved.

The alleged driver of the car – a 42-year-old man – was last night charged with dangerous driving causing death and negligent driving causing death.

His licence was also suspended.
