MAN WANTED AFTER TEEN APPROACHED AT STOCKTON FERRY WHARF

Appeals are being made to the public to identify a man that allegedly approached a teenage girl in Newcastle.

The 16-year-old was waiting near the Stockton ferry wharf at around 1:30pm on Thursday, when a man sat down next to her and began to make lewd comments.

The girl ignored him, but he pulled her earphones out and continued with the lewd remarks.

He then touched her on the leg, before she walked away.

Officers would now like to speak with a man who may be able to assist with inquiries.

He is described as Caucasian appearance with a medium build, about 30-years-old, 180cm tall with brown eyes and brown and blonde coloured hair in a “buzz cut” style.

He was last seen wearing a red t-shirt, brown and beige coloured shorts and rectangular reading glasses.
