DAY TWO OF PORT MACQUARIE’S GOLDEN LURE TOURNAMENT

Weather conditions have proven difficult for anglers taking part in this years Golden Lure Tournament in Port Macquarie.

Strong northerly winds and a northerly swell on day two of the competition has made it tough to reel in a catch but there are still opportunities up for grabs for more than 300 competitors.

“Fishing’s terrific at the moment, in close there’s lots of black marlin being tagged and released which is fantastic and out wide there’s a pretty good bite for blue marlin but as I say the conditions have been very tough and its making it quite tough for the anglers” – Event Co-Ordinator Yanek Kazcorowski

Conditions are expected to ease later in the week with tag numbers set to exceed last year.
