WHAT WOY WOY WHARF? KING TIDE FLOWS INTO TOWN

The first king tide of the new year has arrived, with Woy Woy once again inundated with water.

Parks became ponds and roads transformed into rivers.

The Woy Woy wharf was submerged by the tide, but it didn’t stop eager anglers trying to find their catch of the day.

Some were even stranded at the local watering hole, as the Woy Woy Hotel became an island.

Brisbane Water hit its peak of 2.07-metres just after 12 o’clock.

It’s expected to hit a similar height tomorrow.

The king tide is caused by the first supermoon of 20-18…
