Newcastle yacht Frantic has taken an early lead in this year’s Pittwater to Paradise Regatta.
Middle Harbour’s Nine Dragons was cruising in front in Broken Bay, before Frantic took the lead as the fleet approached Terrigal.
The vessel now has a tight one nautical mile lead.
The wind didn’t exceed 10 knots all day, but conditions are expected to pick-up tomorrow.
