A crime scene has been set up in the Newcastle suburb of New Lambton after a fatal hit and run, early this morning.
Police have confirmed a 54-year-old man died after being struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Wickham and Railway Roads at about 2.40am.
The crash investigation unit is on scene.
