LOCAL CRICKET STARS GO HEAD TO HEAD IN WBBL

Two local cricket stars have gone head to head in the opening day of the Women’s Big Bash League.

Gunnedah’s Emily Leys ran out for the Sydney Sixers.. while Tamworth’s Erin Osborne pulled on a different shade of green for her first appearance with the Melbourne Stars, after two seasons with the Sydney Thunder.

She showed her worth, taking two wickets and contributing 20 runs.

“Knocked her over. Byrnes is giving herself a bit of room and Osborne’s got one through.”

But it wasn’t enough for the visitors, the Sixers taking the win by 86 runs.
