CBD GOES ORANGE TO STAMP OUT VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN

Trees along Tamworth’s Peel Street have been wrapped in orange in a bid to stamp out violence against women.

It’s all part of an 16-day international campaign run by the Zonta Club – an organisation dedicated to improving the status of women.

The Zonta Club of Tamworth is also encouraging businesses owners in the C-B-D to show their support, by adding orange to their window displays.

The campaign will run until Human Rights Day on December 10.
