BODY OF MISSING SNORKELLER FOUND AT PORT STEPHENS

There’s been a sad end to the search for a snorkeller at a popular Port Stephens diving spot, with the discovery of his body late yesterday.

29-year-old Scott McGuire hadn’t been seen since going into the water at Birubi Beach on Sunday.

His disappearance sparked a large-scale search by emergency services, but it was a fellow snorkeller who discovered his body at around 4:20 yesterday afternoon.

Mr McGuire had apparently been diving for lobsters.
