FEMALE LIFESAVERS RECOGNISED 75 YEARS ON
During World War Two, as the men marched off to war, a special group of women on the Central Coast stepped up to keep our beaches safe.
They formed the first all-female surf lifesaving patrol in the Commonwealth… but they were NEVER recognised for their service.
Today, that wrong was made right.
