THREE TREES REMOVED DUE TO “UNACCEPTABLE RISK”
Three more large trees have been cut down in Cooks Hill, with Newcastle Council saying they posed an “unacceptable risk” of falling during storms.
Workers moved in today, removing two hills figs and a brush box from Bruce Street.
The council says they became unsafe following recent infrastructure repairs, where large roots had to be severed.
New trees will be planted in the future.
