TWEED COAST BUS DRIVER CHARGED WITH ALLEGED CHILD GROOMING

A bus driver has been charged over alleged child grooming offences on the Far North Coast.

Police say a 14-year-old girl was on a school bus on the Tweed Coast on Thursday last week, when she was spoken to by the 48-year-old male bus driver.

It’s been alleged the man made a number of sexually explicit comments to the girl before she got off the bus.

The man was arrested on Quarry Road in Murwillumbah just before 1:30pm yesterday, and was later charged with two child grooming offences.
