VERY WET WEEKEND FOR SOUTH-EAST QUEENSLAND AND NORTHERN RIVERS

It’s still raining over eastern Queensland and there’s more to come, but the system is set to ease after producing heavy rain over the weekend with the Upper Springbrook receiving over 300mm.

A large high will move out over the Tasman, driving moist onshore winds in over the Queensland coast. More heavy rain periods are expected.

Onshore winds will settle in along the NSW coast, making for partly cloudy skies and a few showers.

So another day of showers for the northern NSW and south-east Queensland coasts.

Partly cloudy but mostly fine for Newcastle and Central Coast. Fine and mostly sunny for the north-west. Easterly winds to continue.
