MUSWELLBROOK DRIVER TO FACE DRUGS CHARGES
A driver that was stopped for a random breath test will face drug charges after police allegedly found methylamphetamine during a search of his vehicle.
Police stopped the Mitsubishi Triton utility on Market Street in Muswellbrook at around 2pm yesterday.
The 29-year-old driver returned a negative breath test, but subsequent inquiries revealed the man was allegedly a three-time disqualified driver.
During a search of the ute, police also allege they located several plastic bags containing an amount of methylamphetamine.
The driver was charged with supplying a prohibited drug, possessing a prohibited drug, and disqualified driving.
