It was cloudy along the Hunter and Mid North Coast as the southerly kicked in. Further north it was partly cloudy.
Inland the cloud and wet weather has been tracking eastward over the nations heartland.
That slow moving system will move towards the region tomorrow triggering some much needed rain with storms likely in the far west.
Ahead of it, things will warm back up with the change set to move through on Thursday, producing widespread rain with the better falls coming down in the north-west.
