Police are investigating the circumstances around the origins of a three fires near Lake Macquarie overnight.
The first fire occurred between the inner city bypass and Lake Street in Windale, the second between the bypass and Willow Road at Gateshead.
The third occurred between the Pacific Highway and Lake Street, also in Windale.
All happened between 2.30am and 4am.
Firefighters extinguished all three blazes and no one was injured.
Police are treating the fires as suspicious and anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
