A Facebook post likening the Holocaust of Jewish people to Newcastle East residents during the Newcastle Supercars has caused a stir on social media.
The post appeared on the Newcastle East – Heritage Zone not Supercar Zone page at around 6:00pm last night.
The post suggests that, like Jewish people under Nazi rule, Newcastle East residents are denied civil liberties and property rights, and that residents are required to wear a wristband to identify themselves, like the yellow badge Jewish People were legally required to wear.
The post has since been deleted. Details tonight at 6.
