ELDERLY WOMAN LOSES HOME IN FIRE

An 87-year-old woman has been left devastated after her home was destroyed by fire in Woy Woy last night.

Fire and rescue crews were called to Brickwharf Road just before 9.30 to find the property fully alight.

HAZMAT crews were onsite today dealing with asbestos.

Fortunately the woman was uninjured, with burning candles believed to have caused the blaze.
