HUNTER BASKETBALLERS HELP TO LAUNCH WNBL SEASON IN MELBOURNE

Hunter basketballer Suzy Batkovic has used the launch of this year’s WNBL season in Melbourne, to make a bold claim about Townsville’s chances.
“Who’s the team to beat in this year’s WNBL season? Us! I’m always going to back us. Ha ha ha.”
Batkovic was joined by fellow Hunter product Katie Rae Ebzery, who was representing Sydney Uni.
The WNBL season begins on October 5 – Batkovic and Ebzery will cross paths for the first time when the Fire hosts the Flames on the 19th.
