SCHOOLS KIDS SPEND A DAY IN THE SUN

Students at Tamworth Public School have traded their desks for a day in the sun today, along with hundreds of schools across the country to celebrate Outdoor Classroom Day.

From tower building to gardening, the day aims to get children learning hands-on skills in the fresh air.

“Lots of different activities so the children just basically spend the whole day outside learning and doing things, they’re not sitting on the computer or inside in the dark.”
