MESSINA THROUGH TO NATIONAL TITLES

Port Macquarie boxer Jessica Messina has kept her Commonwealth Games hopes alive, winning a silver medal at the first pathway event.

The 69-kilo welterweight, losing to Kaye Scott in a split decision at the New South Wales Titles on Saturday.

It was still enough to land her a spot in the State Team, to compete in the Nationals in November.
