The Port Macquarie war memorial is set to get a makeover, after the local RSL was granted $2,500 by the state government.
The money will go towards a new plaque, which will name veterans from conflicts in Afghanistan, the Gulf War and Somalia.
The list of soldiers who fought in World War Two will also be updated, as well as the monument’s existing bronze plaques.
