Member for Wallsend Sonia Hornery has pleaded not guilty to misusing information on the electoral roll, after being charged last month.
Proceedings began in Sydney’s Downing Centre Court today, but the court was told the case against her may be dismissed.
Ms Hornery was not required in court today and the case was adjourned to September 25.
The Crown Prosecutor informed the court that legal issues had been raised which could affect whether the prosecution is to proceed.
