Port Macquarie’s Tastings on Hastings food and wine festival will have a new format this year, due to the Town Green upgrade.
The main event and Tastings Ignites will be combined into an afternoon-night extravaganza, taking place on the western end of the Town Green on Saturday October 28.
The festival will once again feature celebrity chef Matt Golinski, along with the newly-created Favourite Foodie Awards.
“So that’s really to get people to go out and try out all our local produce, our local beer and wine, our local restaurants and vote for their favourite the month before the event so it’s a really great way through social media to get people interacting with the Tastings on Hastings event,” Port Macquarie-Hastings Council’s Lucilla Marshall said.
Up to 20,000 people are expected to attend the event in its 15th year.
