A man has been charged with murder following an alleged assault on the Gold Coast late last week.
Police say a 53-year-old man and a 38-year-old man became involved in an altercation at a hospital in Southport, around 8am last Friday.
During the alleged altercation, the 53-year-old man suffered serious head injuries.
He died in hospital yesterday.
The 38-year-old man has been charged with murder and will appear in Southport Magistrates Court today.
It’s believed the men were not known to each other.
