It was all hands on deck at Tamworth’s Ronald McDonald House today.
Local contractors installing the NBN Network got their hands dirty, pitching in to give the centre’s backyard an overhaul.
“This is part of our community engagement program, each of our teams each year do two or three community activities and it’s about making sure we’re leaving a positive legacy on the communities that we work in.”
The revamp is expected to bring a smile to sick kids and their families.
“It’s often the siblings here, so they’ve got their brother or sister up at the hospital all day and for them to have somewhere to come and not have to sit in a hospital room.. Yeah it will mean a lot to the families.”
The overhaul included removing trees, laying turf and installing a new sprinkler system.
