WOMAN CHARGED FOLLOWING HUNTER PURSUIT

A 36-year-old woman has been refused bail, after allegedly leading police on a 100-kilometre chase through the Hunter Valley.

Officers began pursuing the car just before 7:30 last night in Cessnock.

Police say the drama came to an end an hour later at Broke, when the vehicle suffered mechanical failure.

The woman is facing 15 charges, and is due to front court again tomorrow via audio-visual link.
