Five adults and a teenager have been charged over an incident involving graffiti in Newcastle early this morning.
Police allege they found the group using a ladder to spray paint graffiti over a building in a laneway near Hunter Street, Newcastle West just after midnight.
They were all charged with malicious damage and trespassing.
The five adults, aged between 18 and 37, will appear at Newcastle Local Court on the 27th of July.
The 17-year-old girl will appear at Children’s Court on the 24th of July.
