GAV’S WEATHER – ICY COLD BUT CLEAR THIS WEEKEND

Two main features the rain band and associated front has cleared from the region moving out over the Tasman forcing cold, dry air over eastern Australia.

Another front is sweeping in across the south-west tonight.

The majority of the nation is clear so the driest start to winter on record continues for much of southern Australia.

A high will move in over the region making for a fine sunny weekend with extremely cold nights and chilly clear blue sky days.

A large swell will hit the coast as a low begins to move into the Bight.

So expect a freezing start for many especially inland with severe frosts. Clear blue skies will dominate as the winds ease.
