CCTV FOOTAGE RELEASED AFTER MORPETH BREAK AND ENTER

CCTV images have been released following a break and enter at a home in the Hunter Valley today.

A 74-year-old woman has told police that she was in the kitchen of her Morpeth Road, Morpeth, around 7am today when she saw a man in her backyard.

The man entered her home through the back door and stole two mobile phones.

The man was then chased from the home by witnesses.

He is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander or Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, medium build with black hair.

He was wearing a grey hooded jumper, long dark pants and gloves.
