WOMAN BOUND WITH DUCT TAPE DURING ARMED ROBBERY

A worker’s hands and feet have been bound with duct tape, during an armed robbery at Abermain Bowling Club last night.

Two men, one armed with a gun and another with a sledgehammer, smashed their way into the club at around 10:30.

They threatened the female employee before taping her arms and legs together.

She was freed briefly to open an ATM and several poker machines, before being restrained again.

The men fled in a white Nissan Pulsar which was found burnt out, nearby in Bathurst Street.

The woman at the centre of the ordeal was able to provide detectives with descriptions of the men.
