PETROL ATTACK ON CENTRAL COAST POLICE STATION

A man will face court on the Central Coast today, charged after trying to set fire to a police station.

A 25-year-old man allegedly poured petrol from a wine bottle around the front doors of The Entrance Police Station around midday on Tuesday. He was seen attempting to set it alight and then chased by police who detained him after using OC spray.

He was charged with being armed with intent to commit an indictable offence and resisting an officer in the execution of duty.

Police say the incident was not terror related.
