SOME GOOD NEWS FOR THE NORTHERN RIVERS

The system producing the heavy rain has unexpectedly moved back towards the north into southern Queensland.

It will remain showery and windy for the northern NSW coastal districts and South-East Queensland as the low weakens back into a trough line. But the Northern Rivers should be spared from extensive flooding.

There will be scattered showers across the NSW coast.

So we have more coastal showers on the way with onshore winds strong for the Gold Coast and Byron Coastal waters. Remaining mostly fine inland for the NW.
