The system producing the heavy rain is only just getting started with heavy flooding rain expected to hit the Northern Rivers and South-East Queensland, as the the coastal trough spins back into an East Coast Low.
There will scattered showers across the Mid-North Coast to the Central Coast, while remaining mostly fine inland.
Residents of the Northern Rivers and South-East Queensland should begin to make preparations for potential flash and broad scale river flooding.
