STRIKE FORCE TARGETS HUNTER, LAKE MACQUARIE AND SYDNEY PROPERTIES

Firearms and weapons have been seized during a high-visibility operation targeting outlaw motorcycle gangs (OMCG) and their associates in NSW.

Strike Force officers conducted searches at 15 properties across the Hunter, Lake Macquarie, and metropolitan Sydney since last Thursday.

The items allegedly seized include a .38 calibre revolver, .40 calibre Smith and Wesson pistol, a replica rifle, various calibres of ammunition, a trench knife, MDMA pills, cocaine, cannabis, steroids and cash.

A 26-year-old male member of the Finks OMCG was charged with a range of firearm offences and was refused bail to appear in Maitland Local Court on June 28.

A 23-year-old male Finks OMCG member was charged with related drug and firearm offences.

A 58-year-old man and a 38-year-old man, both Finks OMCG members, were issued with court attendance notices for weapon and drug offences.

Meanwhile a 30-year-old man, who is allegedly a high-ranking member of the Nomads OMCG, was charged with affray and possess prohibited drug, and will appear at Fairfield Local Court next month.

A further 20 members of the Finks OMCG were issued with consorting warnings.

Strike Force Raptor was established by State Crime Command’s Gangs Squad in 2009, targeting outlaw motorcycle gangs and associated criminal enterprises.
