An elderly Newcastle man has been charged over alleged sexual assaults that took place between the 1970’s and the 1990’s.
Police inquiries led to the arrest of an 82-year-old Hamilton man yesterday.
He was charged with a range of offences, including seven counts of assault & commit act of indecency, and three counts of sexual assault.
It’s believed the alleged sexual assaults of three children occurred between 1976 and 1992.
The man will appear at Newcastle Local Court next month.
