SES VOLUNTEERS THANKED FOR HARD WORK

When disaster strikes, they’re the volunteers who come to the public’s aid.
Performing rescue operations in natural disasters, carrying out storm repairs and responding to car accidents.
Today, the community had the chance to thank the members of the State Emergency Service, by wearing orange.
“It’s lovely to hear a thank you from the community, the guys do a wonderful job and they spend a lot of time training for big events like we’ve just had and small events that happen from day to day”
During the floods, local SES volunteers worked around the clock, responding to thousands of calls for assistance and hundreds of flood rescues.
