POLICE ON THE LOOKOUT AFTER BROADBEACH ASSAULT

A 32-year-old man has been the victim of an assault on the Gold Coast early this morning.

The man was sitting in a balcony section of a licensed premises at Broadbeach at around 4am, when he was approached by a man who began punching his head.

The victim fell to the ground and was further assaulted before the assailant fled the scene with another man.

The victim, from Molendinar, was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The offender is described as mid 20’s, 177cm tall with a tanned complexion, proportionate build, a tattoo on left arm, short black hair and was wearing white to light pink t-shirt and blue jeans.
