61-YEAR-OLD TO FACE COURT OVER ALLEGED SEXUAL ASSAULTS

A man has been charged over the alleged sexual assault of three teenage boys at a Lake Macquarie property during the mid-to-late 1990s.

Police say the sexual assaults occurred at the Dora Creek home of a then-34-year-old man between 1994 and 1999.

The boys were aged 14, 15 and 17 at the time.

Police investigations led them Morisset Showground late last month, where they arrested the man.

The 61-year-old was charged with three counts of commit act of indecency, homosexual intercourse with a male aged between 10 and 18, and five counts of aggravated sexual assault.

He has been remanded in custody and will appear in Newcastle Local Court in June.
