Police have launched a critical incident investigation, after a man died in a fatal single vehicle crash near Grafton.
Officers attended Lillypool Road at Bom Bom at about 8.40pm yesterday, after receiving information about concerns for welfare.
A short time later police found a vehicle, which matched the description, crashed into a tree.
The male driver was trapped in the car and died at the scene.
A crime scene was established and an investigation has been launched.
NSW Police says it undertakes critical incident investigations when matters include the possible influence of a police officer or incidents when responses could attract significant public interest.
